Pine Warblers (Setophaga pinus) have been regular visitors to our feeders lately. Suet cakes are their favorite foot, but they also sample from the niger seed dispenser. This is the only warbler that regularly eats seeds. They are usually found in or near pine trees and almost always place their nest near the end of a pine branch. Like most other small birds, pine warblers do not live for very long: average lifespan is less than five years.
Here one has a drink from the bird bath.
